Manobata has education projects for slum children in the capital city of Dhaka. Manobata mainly supports the slum children who are more vulnerable, drop out of the school, work in streets collecting recycles due to financial problems, children who wander around, and are not going to schools. To address these children Manobata started working in the slum areas.
Now, it has 2500 children who are going to school. This children’s family is not capable to support all education material, uniforms, and required items to them. Manobata is providing all of these to them from the beginning of its intervention. The children in the slum area are mainly malnourished and do not get a nutritious meal. However, the project is providing one nutritious meal per day. Now, 90 percent of them are healthy.
The slum children also get the opportunity to get treatment from MBBS doctors through Manobata. At the beginning of the project, children were of different ages and not going to school, after five years now all the children are attending school in different grades.
